The PCC provides job training in deconstruction for both in-house trainees as well as participants through some of our partner programs. The training program includes on-site training supplemented by classroom instruction.
Trainees are instilled with the traits and attributes considered standard for a career in the building trades. PCC Deconstruction Technicians are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and experiences that will prepare them for job placement and career advancement within the deconstruction, material salvage, and related industries.
The PCC Training Course was developed using curriculum from the Building Materials Reuse Association (BMRA). The program requires 900 on-site hours, various skills assessments, and written exams. Upon completion of the program, trainees will be BMRA certified as Deconstruction Technicians.
Deconstruction training includes courses on the following topics: Introduction to the Industry, Job-site Safety, Building Systems, Hazardous Materials, Tools for Deconstruction, Nonstructural Salvage, Full Deconstruction, and Materials Management.
As we grow, we aim to expand our training programs into a variety of related fields.
